TEBER adı verilen yeni nesil lazer güdüm kiti, MK–81 ve MK–82 genel maksat bombalarının vuruş kabiliyetlerini arttırarak akıllı hale getirecek.

Ataletsel Ölçüm Birimi (AÖB) ve Küresel Konumlama Sistemi (KKS) destekli; Lazer Arayıcı Başlık (LAB) içeren burun kısmı ile güdüm bölümü, kontrol bölümü içeren kuyruk kısmı ve gömlek kısmından oluşan TEBER hassas güdüm kiti, IDEF 2015 Fuarında ilk kez sergileniyor.

TEBER Kiti Projesine, Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri yanı sıra aralarında Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri'ninde bulunduğu Körfez ülkeleri yoğun ilgi gösteriyor.

TESTLER 2015 SONUNDA TAMAMLANACAK

TEBER projesinin test ve sertifikasyonu 2015 sonuna kadar tamamlanması planlanıyor. Test işlemleri Eskişehir merkezli olan 401'nci Filo Komutanlığına bağlı F-16 Blok 40 uçakları tarafından yapılacak.

Roketsan yetkilisi, Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri'ne gerçekleştirilen Cirit füze satışı TEBER projesini olumlu etkiledi. BAE yetkilileri TEBER kitini envanterdeki bulunan uçaklarda kullanmak istediklerini belirtti. Bu ülkeye satışı konusunda ikili görüşmeler sürüyor. Projenin tamamlanmasıyla birlikte TEBER güdüm kitini BAE Silahlı Kuvvetleri hizmetine girecek.

TEBER entegre edilmiş mühimmatların sadece AÖB, AÖB+KKS, AÖB+LAB ve AÖB+KKS+LAB ile atılma modları bulunacak. Sadece AÖB ve AÖB+KKS ile atılma modlarında mühimmat üzerinde LAB bulunmayacak.

LiteHUD adı verilen ve pilotun göstergelere bakmadan önündeki özel ekrana yansıtılan bilgiler, ilk olarak yerli eğitim uçağı Hürkuş'ta kullanılacak. Eski nesil sistemlere göre LiteHUD'un çok daha hafif olduğunu belirten BAE Systems İş Geliştirme Müdürü Michael Beltrani, yeni nesil yerli savaş uçağı TFX projesinde de ortaklık yapmak istediklerini söyledi.

BAE Systems olarak elektronik sistemler, dost-düşman tanıma, Link 16 olarak adlandırılan özel haberleşme dahil bir çok sistem konusunda tecrübelerini Türkiye ile paylaşmak istediklerine dikkat çekti. BAE Systems'ın bu konuda Türk ortağı ise Ankara merkezli Fotoniks şirketi olacak.

Fotoniks Genel Müdürü Cem Yazıcıoğlu, tüm sistemlerin ortak geliştirdiği bir yapıya sahip olduklarını belirterek 'İlk projemiz, askerlerin miğferlerine takılan optik dürbünlerdi. Bunu araçlar için geliştirdiğimiz sistemler izledi. Günümüzde telsizden gelen SMS'ler, tüm GPS bilgileri, asker miğferine yansıtılıyor. Bu teknolojiyi uçaklara da taşımak istiyoruz" dedi.

IDEF 2015: Otokar shows new Tulpar-S variant
A new anti-tank variant of the Tulpar family of tracked armoured vehicles from Otokar is being shown at the IDEF exhibition in Istanbul for the first time.

The Tulpar-S has been developed by the company for the Turkish Weapon Carrying Vehicle (WCV) programme and is fitted with a new RWS from Aselsan that carries four Kornet anti-tank missiles as well as a machine gun.

Oguz Korkut Kibaroglu, tank system engineering manager at Otokar, told Shephard that Tupar-S weighs 15t, but can be increased to 18t. The amphibious tank hunting platform has level 4 armour and can be made available in APC, IFV and other modes, as well as carry different weapon systems.

He said that the Turkish procurement agency SSM is in the bidding phase for the army's WCV programme and that Otokar has started engineering tests on its WCV platform in order to be ready for it.

Kibaroglu said that there are similar components in the Tuplar and Tuplar-S, and this level of commonality means that it is faster to approve the overall system for when the SSM begins its own qualification tests.

Tulpar-S is 2.9m wide, 5.7m long and has a crew capacity of ten. It is equipped with a 280kW engine and can achieve a maximum speed of about 70km/h. CBRN life support is standard, as well as mine-resistant crew seats and driver front and rear thermal and day cameras.

The original Tulpar multipurpose platform, which ranges from 25t-45t, was launched at IDEF in 2013. Otokar is showing an updated variant this year fitted with the Mizrak-30 medium-calibre remote-controlled turret with 30mm dual-feed automatic cannon with 210 ready rounds.

The vehicle on show is 32t and measures 7.23m long and 3.45m wide. It also has a new MTU 8V199 turbo-charged diesel engine, producing 720hp, and Renk HSWL 106 hydromechanical transmission, which replaces the earlier Scania engine and Sapa mechanical transmission. It is fitted with the HA35-15000 indigenous designed final drive system from Otokar.

Kibaroglu told Shephard that the Turkish military likes German engines – they are also being introduced as part of the M60 tank modification and are used in the Altay MBT – however customers can request any power pack they want.

Like the Tulpar-S, it has standard CBRN life support, driver front and rear thermal and day cameras and mounting interfaces for two ATGMs and equipment. It has a crew of three, space for nine troops and is equipped with software-defined vehicle radios, GPS/INS, internal comms, with options for a battlefield management system that includes C3I.

Kibaroglu said that requirements have not been announced, but the Turkish Army is planning for lightweight, next-generation vehicles.

Performance testing has been completed on Tulpar, and now Otokar is trialling various configurations of the vehicle to meet different weight requirements, which will include a range of suspension systems.

Tulpar can also be modified into APC, combat vehicle, ambulance, 105mm anti-tank vehicle, mortar vehicle maintenance and recovery vehicle, engineering vehicle, MLRS vehicle, air defence and reconnaissance vehicle modes.

IDEF 2015: FNSS launches new AFV family
Turkish armoured vehicle manufacturer, FNSS has launched a new class of armoured fighting vehicle (AFV) called Kaplan (Tiger) to mark the opening of the IDEF 2015 exhibition in Istanbul.

The family of tracked vehicles includes an armoured personnel carrier, infantry fighting vehicle, reconnaissance, ambulance, recovery and engineering variants.

For firepower the IFV variant will be fitted with a new 30mm stabilised remote weapon station from FNSS called Teber (battle-axe). Teber is also being unveiled at the IDEF exhibition and has more ready rounds than existing AFVs and ammo change can be completed with the operator remaining under armour.

This is a different vehicle to the Kaplan that was launched as the Light Armoured Weapon Carrier – Tracked (LAWC-T) at IDEF two years ago. That was KAPLAN 10 (10 ton) and the LAWC-T concept is different to the new next generation armoured vehicle concept.

A spokesperson for FNSS told Shephard that the Turkish Army has 'no official requirements released for this concept. But as far as we know there are some studies for the future armored fighting vehicles.

'Because of its weight class together with mobility and protection futures there is still a demand for FNSS ACV15 and 19 FoV. The biggest reason for FNSS developing the medium weight, Kaplan New generation Armored Fighting Vehicle is to meet future requirements with higher weight class indigenous design tracked armoured combat vehicle,' the spokesperson said.

'Kaplan offers one of a kind features in terms of high cross country mobility with amphibious capability, survivability, high payload capacity including 30 and 40mm gun systems, even turrets mounting 105mm, and a kind human machine interface with open architecture and situational awareness. 

'The ACV may remain in service for a few more decades. But most probably the Turkish Land Forces may replace the M113A1 & A2 fleet. However, modernized M113 vehicles still provide military capabilities to many armies worldwide.'

He added that Kaplan has '15% improved range and top speed compared to the ACV 15'.

Other capabilities of the Kaplan include an amphibious capability of 8km/h; pivot turn and backwards movement functions; and the ability to swim without preparation. It uses a rubber track to reduce weight; vibration; ground pressure; and improve road handling.

Kaplan has a payload capacity of 7t with 40% more space in the driver cockpit compared to other tracked AFVs and an extra 30% field of view. FNSS said that it has an improved power-to-weight ratio of 25hp/t.

The family of vehicles has survivability at its core and is fitted with active protection; mine protection in the hull, floor and seating; modular armour; overhead protection for heads up drive; dual NBC protection; explosion protection and sealed fuel tanks; and a reduced thermal signature.

Sub-systems include: improved a/c; adaptive interior lights; integrated hot and cold drinking water cells; more space for equipment and ammo; 360° situational awareness with day/night cameras; see through armour google for driver and commander; and 5%-95% human ergonomic seats.

Communications and navigation sub-systems include: a wireless intercom; next generation communications system; land navigation system; and also improved command and display panels; and integrated auxiliary power unit; and adjustable LED headlights.

MKEK ile Rheinmetall Defence el sıkıştı



Makina ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKEK) ile Rheinmetall Defence firması, Uluslararası Savunma Fuarı IDEF15'te gelecek için el sıkıştı. İki firma kuracakları Ar-Ge firmasıyla ortak ihracat yapmayı planlıyorlar. MKEK ve Rheinmetall bu amaçla bir Mutabakat Muhtırası imzaladılar.
